INVESTOR: "My delusional financial journey so far"

I found the above-captioned article republished at NextInsight.com with permission.

It sheds light on why many cannot accumulate wealth through investment.

My takeaway for this article:
You need to live a frugal life to save money for investment.

The writer used to be frugal and he could save $10K while in National Service, and $20K while he was a student who received an allowance in the form of company sponsorship.  But his lifestyle changed...

When you could not commit the money for long-term investment and have to liquidate shares to pay for other expenses, it simply will not work!

This article reminded me of those days when I was very happy to savor once a month a clay-pot fishhead that cost about $9 from a hawker stall in Taman Jurong when my pay was credited.

It is time to think about how to live a frugal but happy life.
